Shaded Soul is a high-energy 8-piece band that has been established since 1985 by owner/keyboard player Renee Prescott. The unique vocal stylings and dynamic
stage presence of our lead vocalists Bobby Davis, Patricia Thompson and Carlos Carrion captivate audiences and keep the dance floor filled all night long. Shaded
Soul has one of the hottest rhythm sections in New England consisting of Bob Hill on drums, Tom Perrone on lead guitar, and Dave Laport on bass guitar, laying
down a funky groove to artists like Marvin Gaye, The Commodores, Patti LaBelle, and Alicia Keys. Last but not least is our “Funktified” horn player Bill Rood playing
tenor and alto sax throwing down horn lines from Earth Wind & Fire, Average White Band, and James Brown.

Shaded Soul is known all over New England for our stage show and versatility in musical styles ranging from the 40’s big band music to the top 40 of today. Shaded
Soul has been the opening band for The Four Tops, Howie Mandel, Three Dog Night, Mario, Alicia Bridges, Sister Sledge, National Comedians Suzanne
Westenhofer and Karen Williams. We are also active in the community doing benefit and charity work with the following organizations: Hartford Riverfront Recapture,
Nutmeg Big Brothers/Big Sisters, American Cancer Society, Mercy Housing and Shelter, MDA, UConn Health Center Pediatric HIV program, just to name a few.

1 horn mic (sax player will bring his own clip on mic)
1 direct into the PA for the following instruments (keyboards, guitar, bass) *Bass & Guitar will bring their own

amps, keyboards will go directly (Mono or stereo-your choice) into the main PA!

*We are easy to work with so YOU set the amount of monitors and placement!
